Work in progress total war inspired turn based strategy game.

how to play:

  1. The screen can be zoomed in with the mouse scroll wheel and the screen can be moved using the WASD keys, rotated with Q and R and move upward and downward with spacebar and C.  
  2. Clicking the white button at the bottom right of the screen ends the turn.  The first turn is devoted for placing your units for the start of the game.
  3. The white line represents how far each player can place their units. Units can be selected by clicking on there flag and moved by placing the white flag on a empty tile.
  4. The flag for the players unit is red while computer player is blue. 
  5. Each unit is made up of 3 squads which are made up of troops each of which have health. When the leader squad(squad with the flag) looses all it troops the unit dies. As the other squads looses too many troops they will disband and the remaining troops join the leader squad. 
  6. Upon being selected a units health (green bar), action points (red bar) and ammo bar(yellow) are shown along with their action tabs.
  7. The selected unit  is highlighted at the bottom box, health (green bar) and action points (red bar) are shown and open their action tabs.
  8. The move tab has 3 subtabs walk, run, and charge.
    1.  Walk allows moving through friendly units and preforming attacks 
    2.  Run allows moving further  
    3. Charge allows moving a several spaces in front of the unit that have a enemy unit within the path. The charge can break through spear walls and deal damage.
  9. The attack tab has to possible subtabs: melee attack and ranged attack.
    1. Melee attack makes a unit attack enemy units near there melee attack range.  If a squad doesn't have any units close enough they may move a couple of tiles to find one.  Each squad can only attack one other squad per attack phase. 
    2. Range attack allows a unit to attack enemy units within there attack range. Each squad will target a different tile hosting a enemy unit.  Range attacks with low fire arc my be blocked by other units. Range attacks use ammo.
  10. The defend button puts a unit in defend mode, if shielded this increases range defenses, for spear units this blocks enemy units from moving near them, for range units this allows a ambush strike when moving within attack range.
  11. The form tab is used for changing units direction.
  12. If a mistake is made when moving a unit it can be changed with the reset button. 
  13. The game ends when one player runs out of units.
  14. At any time the game can be start over with the R.
